oil feed/return fittings the same for garret and turbonetics????
I purchased a oil feed and return line kit for a garret turbo, as it turns out i might end up purchasing a turbonetics turbo because of some complications ive ran into, my question is do they have the same flanges? anyone with positive input would be greatly appreciated.
Most turbines use a universal size for the inlet and also for the outlet. I used to have a Turbonetics turbine and now I have a Precision unit, and they use the same size on both, inlet and outlet, respectively. The inlet thread is 1/8"NPT and the outlet(return) flange is usually using a 1/2"NPT thread. Or you could have done what I did, buy everything seperately (6AN lines and connectors--inlet, 10AN lines and connectors--outlet). Summit Racing has just bout everything you might need....check them out.
thank you! you sir are a gentleman and a scholar, but seriously thanks thats exactly what i was looking for.
Just for future references:
Anything T3 based cartridge are made by Garrett. Precision, Innovative, Turbonetics made the wheel and the housing, but the center cartridge are most likely to be garrett.
