Default s2k exhaust on 5th gen lude???

have a 5th gen lude w/ apexi dunk catback...

*N/A motor, basic boltons + VAFC =175.7whp
*i wanna get a s2k muffler and go 2.25" all the way to the cat
*is it a good idea or bad...?
*the s2k muffler has a twin loop design good idea bad idea??
*any info is great!
*so cali pigs crack'n down on mod exhaust
*anyone know if this is a good idea or should i just stick with my stock exhaust?
*dont like my stock exhaust thats why i wanna get the s2k muffler let me know!

s2k canister is a twinloop? Are you positive? Apex WS is a nice, quiet exhaust...

if youre getting custom piping get it in 60mm (2.36") thats what most brand name exhausts are anyways. Maybe check otu rsx s mufflers - I heard those are pretty free flowing too.

yes, the you are correct about the s2k mufflers being twin-loop, maybe you should check the s2ki forum

and they arew also good for at least negative 7 HP on teh dyno!

i've been looking for the type s rsx mufflers.. but i couldn't find any... i'm looking into it tho pm gimme some more info thanks guys!

rsx-s mufflers flow no better than ur stock one, but i dun see why that's soo surprising, considering its a stock muffler.

i dynoed with and w/o the rsx muffler on an h22, and lost about a consistant 10hp from 5k up.

i dont know.. i love my exhaust and all but i just dont wanna get another ticket for it.. cuz cops in so cali CERRITOS are dicks .... sell'n my apexi dunk catback 2.5" piping from the cat to the exhaust let me know anyone interested! thanks

Just leave the stock muffler on and get the Y pipe the guy had on his hatch so you just hit a switch and it opens up, straight off the headers. It'll sound and look stock when you're cruising, then scream when you open it up.

it was 2.5" mandrel bent straight back from the header, w/o cat, and i did comparision with and without the rear section on, back to back pulls
