finalyl went to track with new setup. dissapointed in times
ok i know im not the best driver but i am pretty decent. last time i ran a 12.995 on street tires on 9 psi untuned.
this time i couldnt get any better than a 12.731 i tried so many times and this was my best time the other times were 12.792 and 12.81.
heres the slip:
r/t - .544
60' - 2.333
330 - 5.959
1/8 - 8.632
MPH - 93.25
1000 - 10.858
1/4 - 12.731
MPH - 120.10
this was on 22 psi on 93 octane in 90 degree weather on nitto 555r drag radials @ 17psi.
i see other cars running mid 11's and the same setup as me with the same MPH but they are on slicks.
i am wiling to get slicks but i cant see how slicks can shave over a 1hole second off your time.
any advice ? and yes i know my 60 ft time is shitty. the best one i had all day was a 2.1. i tried really hard and experimented with all types of RPM launces but nothing worked. i could not snage a 1.9 60ft tiem for ****.

can getting slicks actually get me a 1.8 60 ft time? and if so that would mean that i can possibly get a 11.5-11.7 isnt that shitty for a 400 hp hatchback?
You need to learn to drive and setup your suspension on top of getting slicks...but yea a 1.8 is completely doable...1.7s should be the goal.

Dude I managed a 1.9 60 ft on Bfg drag radials so I know you could get a 1.8.
Honestly I wouldnt be disapointed, yeah your time isn't great, but look at your mph. You know what it tells me? That your car is damn fast, only thing is it;'s not exactly setup to run a badass time at the track,
Get some slicks, good suspension, learn to drive better
and even a Gear based boost controller would come in handy on that launch.
NItto drags are okay, but with the power your making you need something way better to put that power down at the track

Slicks should get you a high 11 second slip easy. Trust me, when you go to slicks you'll understand why everyone swears by them.

with slicks you should be on the high to mid 11s, slicks make a world of a difference on the track especially on a boosted car
120 should be good for mid 11's
i dont know my 1/4 mile mph, but when i made 317 i ran 95mph in the 1/8 in a boat *** 00 integra

good trap. as far as slicks making a difference, i went from 9.0 to 8.39 in the 1/8 mi in my NA hatch. thats .6 in just the 1/8. youre boosted, and you pick up a good bit after the 1/8 so yes, you can lose a whole second on slicks

Your car is a mid to high eleven sec car on slicks. Last season I had a slower MPH and I hit elevens. For most of the last season, I used 22/8/15 slicks and I managed to hit a 1.701 60ft. with these. You can easily hit 1.8 60fts, no problem with a set of slicks. Are you sure your car has 400WHP? With that trap speed, I would think you were making just a little over 350. I guess your traction problems hurt your trap speed as well. Well anyway, good luck and don't get too frustrated and never give up. One of the best feelings is when you figure out all your problems and you get great results from your hard work. Quitting shouldn't be an option. Too many people do this. Good luck.
