Default Swaybar Clearance ?

Just installed ST front and rear sway bars went on pretty easy but when I started the car I heard this horrible rattling sound look it over and the front bar is hitting against my cat (carsound 2.5)!!!! What can I do to get another 1/2 inch or so of clearance? Or is there anything at all I can do? Will this hurt anything? All feedback greatly appreciated.

Sure, get rid of it. You really don't want the ST front bar on anyway. You are better off with the stock one on front and the ST rear bar.

Dont want to really do that considering I just paid $150 bucks for the cat and the flange and the gasket. Is this hurting anything? (besides my ears)

When I installed them on my 98 GSR (back in 98, I am surprised they still have this issue) I had this problem.

They sent me at no charge, shorter endlinks. You can cut the "spacer tube" shorter and get a shorter bolt and there you go. Lowering the ends closer to the LCA will tilt up the middle section and move it away from the O2.

this will fix your issue.

Thanks Chris, but since I have a civic coupe w/o stock front sway the bar goes under the cat. (yeah I was kinda weary about that) so I cant go up any farther and if I go down(which I thought about) I would be uneasy about clearance from objects in the road.
