I received my GC suspension for Koni shocks yesterday, but I'm wondering if they sent me everything. Do the Koni GC sleeves sit directly on the snap ring, or is there a separate adapter that sits on the snap ring, and then the sleeve sits over that? Here's what I got:

*edit* also, do the longer sleeves go in back? They arrived in the box w/ the shorter rear springs on the longer sleeves, and the longer front springs on the shorter sleeves.

 

looks like you are missing the adp that goes in the bottom of the sleeve and sits on the snap ring. i recieved my already in the sleeves. call them asap.

 

Yeah I will have to call them Monday I guess.

I won't be installing them for at least another week anyway, until I can get some new bumpstops to replace my disintegrated original ones, and some off-road shock dust covers that will fit inside these springs.

 

Ok here is the deal. We just recieved a batch of the direct fit koni sleeves. These smaller diameter sleeves fit onto the koni without the need for an adapter. Yes that machined lip acts as the "adapter" and sits on the snap ring. Personally i think this set up looks a lot better and is simpler. I assembled this kit and yes you do have everything that you need. If you want the larger diameter sleeve with pressed in adapters call on monday and send the small tubes back and we will exchange them.

if your koni's have paint on the snap ring it will be hard to get it on but just force it. i have a similar setup but my sleeves cover the damper completly.

yes I wanted the longer sleeves, but they didn't have any.

 

i had to search hi and low to find um but i finally did.


and i think it goes 7 inch spring in back 8 in front
