Default bearings

tried search but i did not get the info i was looking for.

i have a usdm 5 lugs and my rear bearings are noisy, so i know that they are bad. but when i was at the dyno i noticed both my front wheels are wobling. my axle nut is tight and my rims are straigh. ( i tried 2 sets of rims with same results, even tried my rims on a diff. car) the bearings are not noisy. but could this be also a sing of a front wheel bearing going bad?

and also are gsr bearings same as R as far as usdm is concerened? the reson i'm asking is that i'm tight on cash right now so i will probly use autozone bearings and they only list one par# for bearings. thanks.

the amount of work required to put in a 40 dollar bearing (dealer pricing) far outweighs the cost of the actual bearing. you sure you want to use an autozone bearing?

i'll see if i can get a hook up price for oem. ( ichecked around here they quoted me $80 each. so thats over $300 for 4)if i can then i would get them. but right now i'd rather have cheap good bearings than bad ones. i will be doing the work myself ( i have acess to a press) so as far as labor its free.

i know how to replace them. but my question was can bad bearings cause the wheel to wable. the axle nut is tight, wheel lugs are tight. wheel is not bent. and there is no noise on the bearings.

Yes.

Bearings don't have to make noise when they go bad, although most do.

I don't know, I think the R's are bigger- but truthfully have no clue.

Please don't, they can't possibly be any where as good like oem or one of those specialty places.

thank you, now i know that my bearings are bad. i was concerned that it would be something else.
for a long time i was wondering why i have a steering wheel shake at freeway speeds. i had the wheels balanced 2 times, replaced my axles. made sure all the sup. bolts are torqued. could not trace why the shake. was begining worry that the diff is going bad. till i went to the dyno. thats when i noticed the wheel wobling.
yes i'm trying to find someone who can hook it up better for oem ones. these was a suprise to me and i just blew all my cash away for the car. i figure get this thing fixed (even with cheap bearings) then just buy some oem ones later when i have the cash.
