Default wut strat bar would be good?

got my 99 GSR coupe for 3 months now, want to upgrade a strat bar from the stock 1. i saw some ebay strat bar for like 20 bucks and some brand name ones for $100. is it really that much of difference performance wise? i don't need something so expensive like Mugen, something decent worth the money is fine with me, so what would you guys recommend?

First, it is called a Strut bar.

Second, I recommend you spend your $ on something else. Its really a worthless mod unless you have other suspension work done. i.e., springs, sway bar...

Thats funny ****. I cant even correct this guy.

An ebay strut bar is probably lesser than the stock GS-R one....

just keep it stock.

There's nothing wrong with the stock one. The only practical upgrade would be to one that also attaches to the firewall.

Get an ITR 22mm sway bar first. It will be one of the first "bar" mods that will really make a difference.

I agree with Nightrider and Kendall. Carbing 3pt STRUT bar and a bigger sway-bar is a good upgrade.

The Carbing front upper strut (JDM bLiNg) is nice (BTW: not allowed in major AutoX events) although I despise the fact that it blocks access to your MC.

A rear sway bar (80-120-- 22mm USDM ITR sway, re-used gsr endlinks if not worn, prothane or stock ITR d-bushing brackets, and BSQ kit).... best OE mod ever for us non-ITRs.

The Mugen bar is pretty solid...but these days, you can get a really really similar replica of pretty close quality to the original, but if you're a Mugen wh0re...and if you have money to wipe your *** with, then spend it on the real thing.

don't get those cheap strut bars on ebay.. they are waste of money..
get JIC, Cusco, Spoon, or something that is rigid..
Skunk2 is a direct copy of Spoon, and it is cheaper.. so you may consider that as well..

oh ****! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

i'm sorry bro, but thats just TOO awesome

hahahahHAHAH

I had a neuspeed strut bar on my old car, and that worked well if youre not tring to spend much. I have a mugen strut bar now, and paired with my Teins, it does the job better, it feels much stiffer
