Lightweight Battery
What lightweight dry cell battery is anybody using? Just been looking at the Odyssey batteries, but I'm not sure which model I would need. Would it be the PC545 or PC625?

i'm using the hawker genesis G16 battery. not sure which odyssey battery that is, but they do make one that is exactly the same unit, different stickers.
I'm using the NRG/Heeltoe battery... it's very light weight.

most lightweight batteries are about 13.2 lbs. they all weigh the same since they're all basically the same battery, repackaged and sold by whomever.

You'll want to check out the temperature ranges for whatever battery you're looking at. I believe the 545 has less tolerance for high temperatures, which wouldn't be any good for an underhood installation.

yeah most lightweight SLA batteries do not thrive in high temps. they last maybe a year in those conditions. if relocated to the trunk, they'd last 5+
