Default 400whp?

is 400whp possible for an ITR w/ a greddy kit, and AEM EMS.

seems fishy.

I know...

I just dont think that with the quality of the pieces/turbo you get with a greddy kit that even that AEM could help you tune your way to 400whp.

exp. since that snail im guessin is good for about 16-18psi max?

With a greddy kit? Hell No.
On pump gas? Hell No.
Stock motor? Hell No.
AEM EMS with race gas? Probably not.
Fully built motor? Maybe.

The Greddy kit will probably max you out at around 300whp. The turbos they offer are not sufficient enough to support that much power.

I dont see it happening with a Greddy kit, the turbo just wont flow enuff unless you really really run alot fo boost on that little thing

Which will lead to a dead Greddy turbo. Get a drag/fmax kit.

You can run like 20or so psi on them , but thats the only way to get power out of them .

Are you talking about a DC2R or DC5R. DC5R with alot of boost 15-18psi I think is more than capable of making 400whp with Kpro or some other standalone. I dont doubt that at all. Then again some parts probably would have to be changed on the greddy kit like the Downpipe. The turbo also would be starting to run outta juice at those power levels

^ agreed..if a greddy kit on a gsr will put out about 250 @ 8psi ..at 19/20psi it will be very close to 400...greddy says there turbo can handle 24psi, but the manifold will only hold up to 22

I would buy custom peices instead of settling for an off the shelf kit.. The price isn't that much different for the two either.

What would be the point with 400hp? It could never pull hard off the line. It'd be better to sink the money into something with some traction.

you wanna bet it wont pull hard off the line . all depends on boost control. remember there are such thing as sticky street tires and gear based/rpm based/time based boost control.

also just becuase you have a 400hp car doesnt mean it needs to be driven at 400hp all the time. once again thats where boost controllers come in
