Nitrous Bottles Get Hot?? (also bottle heater install help)

Just got my zex kit in the mail, kit was used so I didnt expect perfection and for 200 bucks, whatever

The bottle is scratched to **** and faded.

I also have a Nos brand bottle heater, my question is when the bottle heater is on, does the bottle actually get hot? Because I now want to make a blacket to cover the bottle.

Also can anyone tell me how to install the bottle heater, It has a black and white wire, whats for what

the white wire is a ground and the red is a battery source

i'd say black = ground and white = positive

How does that work though, where is the intelligence, built into the warmer? How does it know to regulate, at what temperature.

I'm only asking, because if there is a regulator box, I don't want this poor kid to plug in just 12v hot, and have the thing smoke.
