compression test
1: Buy compression tester from local auto parts store
2: With a cool car, remove your spark plugs and the fuse for your fuel injection
3: Thread compression testter into a spark plug well
4: turn over the car for about 10 seconds
5: Look at the guage, write down the pressure and the cylinder number
6: Repeat for other cylinders
7: Check that numbers are within spec for your engine
8: Check that all cylinders are within 10% or so of one another.

compression testers are cheap ... under 30 bucks from sears
BTW do it when your car is warmed up because this way everything (seals, piston rings) is expanded.
The fuse you gotta pull is the 15A ECU/FI fuse from the fuse box underneath the hood.. its a small one..
make sure you do it with a wide open throttle plate.. step on the gas pedal all the way when cranking..

Perfectly within specs. Is that good variance for a 15k mile motor?
CTR pistons, bored 10 over, race port, valve job, ect. I'm told that should result in about 12.05:1.
Anyone know how to convert the psi readings to a ratio?
