Default Mini Setup?

I currently have a d16z6 in my 89' Civic HB and I am interested in building a high compression D-series motor and was wondering if anyone had an idea of what tha best way to go would be.. I was told that if i was to use the D16y8 motor (which I have also) and buy forged rods and pistons and I could run 12:1 compression. Anyone have any ideas?

PM7 pistons from a JDM DOHC ZC or a USDM 88-89 D16A1 1g integra will give you 12:1 compression in a D16 block.

Im in the process of building a high comp d16 right now also. Im using an a6 block, y8 head, p29 pistons, and a y8 2 layer haed gasket. which yields about 13:1 compression I think thats the highest you can get using OEM parts.

can i just use the y8 block and head, and the zc pistons and rods or should i use the rods that are in the block? Also, is it possible to run 13:1 CR on pump gas?

All 1.6l rods are the same length (137mm) and most 1.5l rods are shorter (134mm). So I would just use the rods that are all ready in the motor. Yeah I meant p29 pistons above, I edited it.
