Went to the auto wreckers today, and asked about a B17 motor. The owner of the place said he could give me everything I need for around 2000 CAD which equals close to 1,500 US. He would give me everything I need to do the swap, and take in return everything that comes out. Mileage he said is close to my d16z6 with 177,000 km.

I'm just thinking of why I should fork out the $2,000 CAD in exchange for a motor of the same year as mine.

 

no.. its a rip off . your D16Z6 with tranny and all is worth USDM $500 now he wants $1500 plus your stuff so your paying $2K ..no.. there have been some B17 long blocks here for like $1K so do the math.

 

thats a rip off dude. buying a b17 with 177,000 miles on it for 1500 is stupid. get a b16a with 30k on it for 1200 and you still get to sell your z6 for a little piece of change
