What is a D16z6 worth?
I am doing a B16 swap, and someone wants my z6. I just dont know what its worth. The engine has 152,000 on it and would come with Engine, tranny, harness, mounts etc. One of the CVs is damaged so that would need replaced. The engine is in good condition, no smoke, does not eat coolant. So any thoughts as to what its worth? Thanks in advance.
P.S. If this is in the wrong section, I am sorry, I dont know where it would go.

Re: What is a D16z6 worth? (G2 Speed)
with that many miles, prob not $500 but you could probably squeeze $400 out of someone.. i know it sounds really low, but for some reason that motor has no value. Its odd cause if done right that motor can make some serious power, but since more people are into B and K now, D has little to no value. But good luck with the sale

Yeah I know it is not too desirable, I just need a baseline price, I am gonna cut the guy a good deal, I just want to know what is fair.

yeah, I'd sell it for like 350...just because I'd want as much as possible for it without lookin like a complete bitch..but I'm not sure how much the B16's cost..but as with any swap besides a D I'm sure they can get expensive :-\

Im keeping my D16.....I'm putting a Y8 head on it and calling it a day (2000 civic hatch). GAS MILEAGE FTW!!!
For the record I paid 650 for a D16z6 with 65k miles...it was and still is in mint condition in the car I sold to my friend Nick....I think it was one of those motors that comes from the factory flawless and it stayed that way....no issues whatsoever.
