anyone used rear drums from autozone their civic?
they are 12 bucks a piece and i need to change them the pulsate like a bitch. will these last for a beginner on a lapping day at gingerman racecourse?
I used rear drums from Checker-Shucks-Kragen for ITA and H5 on my DX. No problems for me. Probably the same quality as the Autozone products.
You should be Ok for your first lapping day.
Looking at your message, it sounds like you have a pulsating brake pedal? Is it when you press the brakes? It might be the front rotors need changing also.
Have fun at the lapping day.

only my brake pedal pulsates when i brake. the front i have brembo cros drilled and axis pads. so coo i'll get some of those thanks
Are the rotors new? Cross drizzled shizzle can crack.... cracked rotors make the pedal 'pulse' (steering wheel doesnt shake like "warped" rotors) and it goes thump-thump-thump under your foot.

When the pulsating happens under braking, any feel or motion of it in the steering wheel when it is doing it hard? Conversely, drive very slowly off the brake pedal and lightly pull up on the emergency brake so it does a bit more than drag and see if the car surges or locks up. This isolates to only use the rear brakes.
My offhand bet is the issue is on the fronts. The rear drums will be fine from the 'Zone if you need them. I know the company that provides rotors and drums to the 'Zone and have used them for years on a number of things for street and race. Not high end Brembo products but fine for the price and non-extreme use. They just got a contract to be the sole 'Zone supplier and are building a 60,000 sq ft building addition across the street from my office.

Like RJ and Lee, I suspect the front cross drilled rotors.
... I did the same thing, bought what I thought would be an upgrade for, in my case, doing track days, and come to find out they were anything but. For normal driving the cross-snizzled rotors are fine, but for performance stick with the solid rotors.
After warping/cracking mine at a track day event, I bought some Cryogenically treated rotors from http://www.porterfield-brakes.com/ and they lasted a good long time.
I simply use Brembo blanks now.
Hope this helps.

I use autozone drums and rotors on my car and have never had a problem. I'm pretty sure they are made by federal mogal. Make sure you torque your lugnuts, that will keep them from warping. The autozone droms aren't painted so they rust after a while if you don't paint them.
