Spinning the tires would be what you don't want to do. Practice launching at different RPMs until you can launch without spinning the tires.

start slipping the clutch at the 2nd amber light from about 3500-5000rpm's and let it out as you roll

really depends on what tires you are using on the front!
I launched at 7k rpm while uding spray. I get 1.875 60's.

Don't just POP the clutch. Any fool can do that. Launching is a technique and must be practiced in order for you to be good at it. Different cars launch in different ways. It all depends on what you're working with. If you're on street tires, then you can't launch that high or you will spin the crap out of the tires and barely get any grip. Now if you're on slicks, then your launch will be much higher since you have more grip. BUT don't just rev and pop the clutch out.

generally chirping is when your tires slip a little and gain traction again so technically you dont want to do that, but the only way not to is to slowly shift into each gear which will slow down your 1/4 mile times. So its something you dont want to happen but just practice, its kind of hard to explain just practice and check your times, no one can tell you how to get a good launch every car is diff it depends on many variables, what kind of tires? size? are they cold? warm? air pressure? it all depends, go out to the track and just practice, with time your launch will improve and yoru times should get a little better.
