86 accord running hot, no leak. Is it the thermostat or fan or ? help!
The car has started running hot, and it has plenty of water. There are no water leaks so i don't think it's the water pump. The only thing i can think of is the thermostat sticking or the electric fan and blown a fuse or gone bad. It's my moms car so i haven't got to look at it yet. Can anyone help or give me any ideas on what to check

DX, LX, or LXi ? T-stat check is.....coolant full block burped, start the car from cold, as it idles the top rad hose should start getting warm, as the temp gauge rises, to about 1/2 and the car has idled more than 5 min. the bottom rad hose should start getting warmer as the T-stat opens. After the T-stat opens the fans should cycle after another few min.
I've seen several times in these older cars, the coolant was never changed and it got acidic enough to corrode the impellers off the water pump.
