i bought a 94' obd1 gsr a month ago. pulled a code 4. then it went away for 3 weeks, now its back and theres no vtec. the distributor is a remanned i assume, it was on the car when i bought it and it looks spotless in and out. but the computer says bad crank angle sensor. i have a 95 ls distributor in my garage. can i swap the sensors, are they the same? is the sensor the big magnet on the inside??

 

92-95 is obd1 distributors TD44U
so they could be swaped
after that the sensor is located at the crank itself..

 

yup thats the boy you can try change it cause that happen to my gs the other day wat i am wonder can the engine work with out it ?

 

jdm engines dont have the crank angle sensor at all... but then again the jdm ecu isnt looking for that sensor either
