Default bought a vafc, should i return it and get a flywheel?

I got it, installed it, it works, its fun to give 60% more fuel at idle, and it smells good, but im thinking this..
it cost 230 (used)
it'll cost 200 to tune, and get about 10 horses, so that's 530, 550 realisticlly, for about 10 horses, so 55 bucks a pony.

what else can i do that will be more cost effective.
i have CAI
bent exhaust to a can
jdm motor H22A

im thinking about a header, or a flywheel instead, but cant find any horsepower numbers for them other than manufacturers best wishes.

any help is appreciated

If you're going to buy a flywheel, you may as well buy a new clutch, since you'll have the tranny removed. So, add another $300 to the cost of the "mod".

You'd be a fool to not replace the clutch, as any car with over 30K, and especially sports cars, will have some degree of disc wear.

I agree.
But also... I think you should keep that VAFC and just keep on building your car, you are going to need it sooner or later if you are going to get somewhat serious with your car, I'll really help with your tuning. But if you are going all out you might consider taking the VAFC and getting a Hondata later on when you really tweak out your engine.

you should keep the VAFC, and save up for the rest of the bolt ons.

Maybe just wait for more bolt ons to tune it, that way u wont have to retune everytime u get another bolt on.

definitely a clutch, but im not THAT much of a moron (only a little) i have a "south bend clutch" brand clutch and pressure plate with a full face kevlar pressure plate side, and an 8 puck cerametalic flywheel side. It can apparantly take 300 foot lbs. and feels exactly like the stock civic vx clutch (my jdm h22a is in a civic
as of now im debating the following
keep the vafc
sell it for the flywheel
go ahead and just get nitrous

so that's the story as of now
everything said so far is greatly appreciated.

go to http://www.aeiperformance.com and click on the civic at the bottom to see how everything is going allong. the car is done, and the swap portion of the installments should be coming up soon enough.

If you're looking for the most hp to cost ratio, nitrous is definatly at the top of that list. At $10 a pony (500 new, 50 shot), its great and safe.

Flywheel and vafc are also great though, and the combination of everything is best. Keep the vafc until everything is ready for something like hondata, etc. goodluck!

Factor getting the bottle filled, then filled again, and again, and again....It's not cost effective at all in my opinion.
