Default ITR oil cooler. How does it look like?

I know there is a piece of metal with 2 hose that attaches to the oil filter. But where do those 2 hose thing attach to and is there a radiator kind of thing for the oil?

no radiator for the oil. Its just a coolant passage around the base of the oil filter.

Where does the coolant come from? Is there any hose that attaches to the radiator?

You can see how it looks like in the pic, where the oil filter screws on

Does anyone know if the a 99 GSR engine block has those hole for the 2 coolant hose? Would I need to do anything special to put an ITR oil cooler on?

I'm pretty sure the GS-R and the ITR came with those oil coolers stock. The GS-R oil cooler I've heard is so ineffective there is arguement on whether it does anything at all.

If you have the ITR oil cooler already then stick it on there, otherwise a nice gReddy radiator type oil cooler would probably do very nicely for you. I have one and the thing I like about it is the fact that I can actually tell a difference. The feed oil line is always a lot hotter than the return oil line. I know that isn't the most reliable way of telling temperature. But it also allows about 1/2 - 3/4 of a quart more oil in the system. More oil means it can store and dissapate more heat.

Only the earlier GSR has oil cooler. Mine is 99 and it doesn't have oil cooler I believe the ITR oil cooler is exactly the same the the earlier model GSR oil cooler.

94 & 95 GS-Rs had it. The OBD2 GS-Rs (96-01) did not have it. All ITRs use it.

Unless you race, it isn't really needed.
