Fuel Injectors Replaced, but still throwing Code for them.
I just replaced my fuel injectors yesterday and when I went to start it back up there was no problems and it ran fine so I thought nothing of it. I got back to work and decided to look at the ECU and it is still throwing codes for the fuel injectors. Anyone know why this is happeneing? Did I miss something? It is also coding me or an O2 sensor aswell. Could that be it?

did you reset the ecu? the ecu saves codes and will keep throwing them even if nothing is wrong if it isnt reset

No I didnt reset it. Im not much of a motor literate guy. I know the basics and how to bolt on stuff but when it comes to internals and electrical stuff you might as well be talking to a 4 year old girl about it. To reset the ECU all I have to do is disconnect the battery right for an hour or so? So that the capasitors in the ECU have lost their charge and reset right?

yea, just unhook the ECU for about 5 min.... that is all it will take..... just make sure you never unhook the ecu without unhooking the battery first.... can cause **** to short and burn out....

or take the ecu and hazard fuses out of the engine fuse box...for about 20 sec. then start the car and let it idle without touching anything for a few minutes (not sure on exact time)...shut it off then you should be good to go!

Thanks guys for the help. I unplugged my battery removed the ECU cover and unplugged the ECU wires. Then went and did some other **** for 15 min (I found $4 while doing the other ****) then came back plugged it all back in put the battery back on. Started her up for 5 min then took her out for a drive and no codes and no problems! Thanks alot for your help. She seems to be running smoother now.
