ok guys i'm not sure what the hell is goign on in the #1 cylinder but it will run great for a few days and then when i shut the car off it and turn it on it dies everytime i check the #1 cylinder the spark plug gap has been smashed and it is black can't figure out why the rest of the spark plugs are normal. by the way it is a b16a 1st gen in a 95 eg. the motor has been converted to obd1 using a b18b dizzy and some 97 civic injectors. any thoughts on this guys?
did you gap them to big? i'd change the plugs out if they are black you may be running rich. do a compression test and cylinder leakdown.

Is there something in the cylinder?

ouch.
it's due definitely for a compression check. looks like you might need to rip it apart or get a boroscope to see what the deal is inside that cylinder.

not sure what happened lol. i think it was just a piece of carbon from the insiade she runs strong as hell nwo not sure what happened!!!lol
i would say run the SEAFOAM **** thorugh your car and see if that helps because you might havea carbon build-up on the piston and that might cause it to push the gap smaller, but you could always rent one of those fiber optic telescoping see'er things and look through the spark plug hole. but use the seafoam anyways it wont hurt any
New plugs > Issue resolved? Yes done.
No
Compression, then post the numbers. While the spark plugs are out use a super bright light and compare the carbon buildup on the cylinders to the rest...

errr well you can buy it at lots of auto parts stores, its called SEAFOAM and you either put it in your brake lines i think it was and or in your oil and you let it run and **** loads of white smoke come out of your car and you let it run till there is no more smoke and that means that it is done cleaning thew carbon out, supposed to be really good stuff, i plan on using it real soon

you probably smashed the gap putting the plug in. The easiest way to get the plug started it to use a small length of rubber hose, slide it over the tip of the plug, and start the threads that way, so that you do not put down all the weight of the ratchet on the plug.
