Default 90 civic with 1.5blk and 95 vtec head .....timing problems

i recently shot a piston through my 1.6 block.... i was able to get a 1.5 block with a 95 vtec head. the timing belt seems to only get tight on one side. i think that i have the right belt but is there any thing else that i might need to know to get it running?

please help me

Read up on that to check if you have the correct timing belt.

What block do you have from the 1.5?

Might have to remove the timing belt again and check if it's the right tooth.

it supposed to be only tight on one side. does your timing match up after you turn the crank over? if it does then it's something else.
