I need help, I have the following below and I need to know if I should put it a blockguard or will I be fine? or will the blockguard do damage rather then good? Bottom is all assembled. I was told that I might need to insert a block guard? Also do they even make a blockguard for my app. 1.8L with 2.0L sleeves. Will it be okay as it is to make 20 psi and 450 whp max be daily at 12 psi? YES NO? advice help?

You block has sleeves (ductile iron ones right) so you don't need to even look into a block guard.

The debate on using a block guard never ends.
Some people say "they restrict water flow" - other people debate that with "the holes in the block gaurd are the same holes in the head gasket so how could they block water".

Other debates go on and on about stuff... nobody ever seems to come up with solid proof. The only thing people agree on is that if the guard isn't installed properly or something, then they slip downwards into the water chamber - BAD.

If you are looking to boost hard and you don't think your sleeves will hold, then look into block posting. BTW - stock d-series motors have been known to hold 15 psi no problem. 20 psi on a ductile sleeve should be easy.

Maybe contact Darton and see what they suggest when using their sleeves.

Thanks for the help, I think they are the iron ductile ones. I just needed the reinsurance that they would be good up to 20 psi max as I thought.

I first glanced at urberdata but got a tuner that is great and looks like hondata s200 boost and one of the plx datalogging widebands. OBD1 conversion for sure. P28 to start out maybe vafc NA tune. Head is b16 built! ITR cams most likely, hoping to get 175 whp NA with lil under 10-1 comp. with oem gasket then when ready for boost get it down to 9-1 with a cometic. Should hit 13s in the 1/4 easily NA
