Performance loss, loss of power, possible clutch?
Here is my scenario. I have a 94 accord and just had an engine swap about 2 weeks ago. Since then i have driven the car alot, just to run threw to make sure there are no problems. I have gone through about 3-4 tanks of gas. But the last several days, there has been a mad performance loss.
A couple of the symptoms are as follows:
-Sluggish as hell in certain gears, especially 2nd and 3rd gear.
- Its as I am pushing down the gas pedal more and more, but the rate at which
the car's speed is increasing remains constant.
- There is a feeling of someone pulling the car back, while i'm trying to go forward
- And lastly, i noticed today, i was coming down a long steep hill. I threw the car in neutral, and the weirdest thing, when i had it in neutral and i gas the car, revved it up to about 3-4k, there would be a slight pull back on the car, the same feeling as when you downshift with your gears when coming to a stop, just a little more less of a feeling though.
Any one know what this could be? Could it be the clutch going bad, even though this is a 35k mile engine from japan, or is the plate perhaps just loose, or is it something completely different.
Here is what has been done on my car in the last 3 weeks. H22a swap into 94 accord Manuel transmission. Changed timing belt, tensioner, tensioner belt, alternator belt, power steering belt, water pump, changed to synthetic oil, flushed radiator system, replaced coolant, replaced fuel filter, replaced spark plugs, installed cold air filter.
Thanks to all that read this long *** post and reply to it. I would greatly apprecaite all input and possible reasons
