corbeau carreras

they are more comfortable than the torinos. they aren't as hard to get out of as the srds, but they hold just as well, if not better than them.
i'd say srds hold best, then carreras, then the torinos. the torinos werent comfortable at all for me. i've sat in all these, so yes i know

i got these for $830 SHIPPED with rails. i believe the groupbuy is still going on now.

Immortal: this is gonna sound wierd but how big are you? I hear some of the seats are kinda tight on bigger people, I"m 6'3' 215lbs. I"m looking for something w/ more support than the factory leather GSR seats!! How do they compare comfort wise to stock seats?

well i'm average. i'm 5'10-11 and weigh around 155 lbs. at first they felt awkward because i wasnt used to being hugged in, but after i drove around for a little bit they felt totally awesome. they also make you sit LOWER than the stock seats. and they give a lot more leg room. they just seat you in a better position. i've never sat in targa rs's i dont really know. err i didnt take any pics of the bottom sorry.
installation was really easy. and i can still use the stock seat belt.

on http://www.corbeau.com they have the dimensions of each seat. the width across where your ribs are, on the carrera & a4 its 18.5 inches, on the targas its 19.5

I agree they aren't the same but there's soooo much I want to do to my car I just have a hard time spending like 2K on seats!! For around $350 a seat the Corbeaus seem to be a really nice seat.

I have sat in targa RS's and Sparco Torinos. I don't really like how either of them feel. Maybe its just because I haven't rode alot in them.

i wouldnt say corbeau to recaro, rota to spoon

corbeau makes seats and seats only. its not like tenzo-r, arospeed, etc.

I had a groupbuy on recaro's which I sell 'em for $1450 if I can get 5 people.

And as for comparison...I've sat in Tenzo R, Corbeau and Recaro, and even Sparco..truth..corbeau is much cheaper..but how long would those last you? a year? My friend had his sparco for like a year and it's starting to wear out (red turn orange). I mean recaros are expensive but they are make to last. And plus..when you go to a car show and see a S2000 or any nice looking car and you see "CORBEAU". What would you think?!? That's just my opinion and you're entitle to your opinion

the analogy was inferring the price.
but i wish the corbeau wasn't embroidered onto the seat
thats one reason i dind't get it...i don't like the name at all
i like the style comfort and price
but the name isn't good

Seats are seats. Corbeau has been around for as long as I can remember. No complaints from any of the owners, either. The fact that all they make are seats is a plus. And BTW, I've seen faded Recaro SRD's. All seats fade over time. My OEM seats are faded. There's no stopping that unless you want to cover your seats in plastic.

Yes, we all want Recaros...we all want the best. Can we all afford it? No. Don't go by name alone. Of course for a carshow you'd want the most expensive thing out there to "impress" everybody. I, for one, don't intend to impress anybody but myself. Also, my car is not a "show car" by any means. It's all up to you.

Oh yeah, and for the price, I'd recommend the Corbeau Targa RS.

Actually I like the corbeaus!! I don't know why people think they look really shitty? I think people spend money on Recaro's for the name.

lets see

those usually cost what to people? $2k ?

what did mine cost ? $830

are they really that much better to justify $1170 ? i HIGHLY doubt it.

and uhh my picture is greatly compressed ruining most of the quality so the little is not nearly as good as it should be.
