Default New valve cover gasket, leaks WTF?

Just replaced the valve cover gasket and plug o-rings.
But it STILL leaks.... what gives?
I didn't use any gasket sealer, could that be it?
Helms doesn't say anything about sealer, so I didn't bother.
But now I'm wondering if that was smart.

Did you pinch it somehow?

I usually put a little Hondabond on a new gasket, especially if its a B-series (around pass side). plus you have to be careful not to over tighten them

Did you check behind the valve cover, make sure none of the gasket fell out of place when you seated the vavle cover? Always a good idea to take a small mirror after installing the vavle cover gasket and using it to see the back of the cover.. make sure nothing is out of line.

Thanks everybody, I'll check those things.
D16A6, driver side, front corner just behind the cam pulley seems to the wettest spot. Back looks completely dry.

Honda Bond oWns you!!!

You have to use it on the "sharp" parts of the gasket...like where it meets the top of the head at the corners of the cam. If your plug o-rings are leaking I would use some Honda Bond on those too.

In my helms I'm pretty sure it says to place some Honda bond on the corners. Yep, just read the crx manual and I could not find the valve cover section but I looked in the 2000 civic helms and your suppose to apply liquid gasket at the 4 corners.
