no valve used, only a regulator to set vaccum level. check valve type units are common for those with exh scavenging setups. The z10 system pulls vaccum with a pump and has its own regulating system to adjust. there is also a breathining canister similar to what you would use with a "breather" setup but with bigger hose lines.

If you have time, could you elaborate more on the Z10 vacuum pump system. The website doesn't include any substantial info, and it's such a new product that I haven't found much free-floating info on it.
When I called Z10, they said that the vacuum pump is run with their oil pump system and that you had to buy both. I didn't have time to ask much more than that b/c he sounded like he was in a rush, so I'm not sure if he's referring to the dry sump system or their wet external oil pump w/ a supplementary mechanically-driven vacuum pump.
I'm guessing that it uses their standard 5/8" barbed nipples and hosing or optional -12AN lines and fittings. I'm unsure about the block fittings they might or might not include. Are they included? And, where do they go?
I'm interested, but I'm wondering about the pricing. Also, if you have to run the external wet pump with the vacuum (which brings up the cost), I'd probably just as soon go with a multi-staged dry sump.
