Default Another Power Window Problem

My drivers side window is slugish and stops while in operation. It's been like this for over 2 years now and the motor has not died. Plus it now wants to leap off track and out of its weather stripping? Any ideas why this might be? it has been greased (after the track jumping prob) it is starting to **** me off!

What year is it, and is it a coupe or sedan?

i bought a 96 accord, both front windows were really sluggish, but not falling out of its track.
i sprayed silicon (STP non greasy brand) all along the window track inside the door and its trouble free for 6 months now, but if your window is falling out of the track it might not help, id take the door panel apart and inspect it further but in the meantime try some silicone in a spray can

I have the same problem on my 96 Accord. I changed the switch and it didn't work (took that sucker back to the dealer fast). It was working some days and then would die. It hasn't worked for a week. I don't know why the motor would work sometimes and not other times. I also don't know why this has been a problem so long and Honda has got a stronger faster motor! Since my window is "some timey" what is the answer? Is the switch (I tried a new one), is it the motor, is it the wiring or is there a part in there I don't know about? My time is precious so I want to know what I need to do before I take it apart.

It is a pain in the butt but there are other cars out there that have many more problems.

i would clean out the old gunk first before applying the new layer... some people just spray it over the remaining old grease.
