Problem w/ window (track related?
I've been having problems with my power window. When I hit the switch, the window either won't move or only go down slightly then stop.
The switch and motor work fine. I tested them outside of the door panel. The regulator iteself is in good condition, lubed, and not binding anywhere.
One thing that happened when the window was halfway down, I was trying to put it up. I pushed up on the switch and I could hear the motor, but the winow only went up a few mm. I was able to then manually pull up the window an inch or two from the rear side of the window, then the front... So is this a symptom of the window falling off the track? I want to get an idea of what to look at when I go back into the door panel tonight.

Re: Problem w/ window (VSG)
Sounds like the window is off track or is somehow binding in the two side channels. Make sure the metal framework for the channels is firmly secured to the door and that each rubber channel is lubricated with a silicone lubricant. Also make sure the window itself is tightly secured to the regulator.
