this is for a friend of mine. we adjusted the valve to spec in.007 ex.009. he has a d15 in his hatch. we checked the clearance ,but the valve still tick. some valves are loose, some valves are tight after starting car .car runs fine but with loud ticking. please save him from overhaul dude got no money
Not sure what you can do about that other than do it again. Maybe it's not the valves?
When you do it again, check, double check, turn the crank all the way through while checking for a third time.

Hey, Sorry to bring up an older topic but i thought thius would help, Your problem more then likely is your lost motion assemblies, i think they just keep the cam/s from flopping around at all, mine went out on my b16a and there was a LOUD ticking all the time.

Did you make sure that you adjusted them a.) when the motor was completely cold and b.) did you adjust them in the correct order... You can't just start on cylinder one, turn the crank and go to cylinder two... Follow the firing order: 1,3,4,2... HTH...
