How do i tell if I have bent valves or need a valve adjustment?

Bent valves are usually very easy to tell. Your motor won't idle very well at all, and depending on the severity, it might not even run. A valve adjustment should be done regularly every 30K miles about, or after any headwork.

You might hear "valve tap" or clicking if your valves are loose. If you do a leakdown test, you might get some release in the valve area if they are loose as well.

fees vary..from like 80-150..make sure that where ever you take it the engine is cool...you cant adjust hot valves
