Default Integra Shifter used with ITR Linkage, Si transmission in a 99 Civic DX

My last transmission just recently took a $hit and i dont want my new one to follow suit...so im trying to take every percausion even though im positive my halfshaft was the cause for the tranny to break.

Does an Integra Shifter in a Civic help or hurt the throw or the angles at which the linkage shifts? I like the shifter position and pattern with it but, if it is going to hinder my transmission in anyway let me know?

(I have an aftermarket short throw right now(not sure what brand) all i really want is to use a stock Interga shifter.)
