you won't gain any horsepower, you'll only free up power....you'll be taking out one belt causing less stress on the motor; therefore, freeing up horsepower...depending on what motor your doing it to...dont expect it to pull much harder....my buddy and i never put ps in his 00 si and it pull a little harder since it was dual cam....on a single cam motor dont expect any heck breaking power.

It helps free up power (more to wheels). But not by much. I have removed the belt and ended up putting it back on. For me parallel parking or a practically unoticable amount of kick, imo, I chose parallel parking with ease!

i've seen some integra's do before and after dynos with power steering and have free'd up 5-7 hp, i like the way it feels without power steering anyways...seems like i can feel the ground much better, not to mention if you remove everything you drop about 15lbs

heres one, the green curve is the non power steering run...the only change made, you can see how the entire curve is shifted up to 6hp and 5lbs of tq, not bad when you consider people pay big bucks for a header that will make similar hp gains

i never had POWER on any of my other hondas.... this is the only one.....

so i tried it, just took off the belt.... not the whole unit....

yeah, not a HUGE difference, but still a little something, i'll end up putting it back on..... forgot how it was to park without it.

just a little different on a gutted hatch....than a fully loaded sedan.

NOT WORTH IT, but thanks.

Did that guy also tell you that if you put a APC REAR Double Stack Spoiler and some flames on the side of your car, you would gain like 20 HP? What a DUMBASS!

actually NO.
like i said, i call bullshit.....

i have owned older hondas- 88-91 which never had PS.... so i didnt think of it as a problem, and now that i do, i wondered how much "extra" power ( or how little power ) i would gain..... so, with just taking off the belt, i noticed a SLIGHT power gain, not much... an not worth the hassle of parallel parking.

if you take it off and change the pulley you'll free up quite a bit of hp
