top end question...HELP!

Default top end question...HELP!

I tried a search but couldnt find anything so maybe you guys/gals and help me out. Question is, what could I do to improve the top end of my car in the 1/4 mile? Thanks tech members.

kinda hard to answer without model of the car, what engine, automatic or 5 spd, what mods are done and ect...

Its a 92 civic si(hatch). nothing really done to it but a intake and header/exhaust.

put your car on a diet. before you go to the track take out everything that you can. spare tire , stereo equipment (subs amps), school books? whatever within reason for you, you could take out your rear seats and front pass. seat. also dont show up at the track with a full tank gas. every 100 pounds is good for a 1/10th reduction in time not to mention its free!

Yeah I need to do somethin cuz I think my motor is pretty much F***ED up. I ran a 17.2 at the track with my SOHC VTEC. I know I know. Clown if you want. Im good at the launch but once im half way through 2nd i have no power! What could I do?

1. i'll clown, you asked for it
2. halfway through second you have no power? you never had any.
3. what can you do? if your short on loot, strip your car bare. take off your intake and exhaust maybe. advace timing a little. take out your glass and replace with fiberglass or cardboard. seen somethin like that done with a sentra.
