Stripped bolt on trans!!!!!

what I ment was, that if the bolt is stripped, it would damage the threds on the block and it wouldn't work even if you use a new bolt. But now I understand, he stripped the head of the bolt, 17mm, right? If thats the case, I would have use one of those bolt removers that they sell in sears for diffrent sizes.
