Default ABS problem, just changed clutch, axle problem...? 92 si

Well.. I just changed the clutch and now the ABS is acting up. The car is a 92 prelude si.

The ABS light doesn't come on till the car starts moving for a few seconds, but it feels like the abs motor is kicking in when I press the gas because the car feels like it's bogging really badly. After waiting for a little while, the motor stops kicking in and the car drives normally.

I checked the code and it says code 1, but the list for troubleshooting is insane. I read through the archives, and it seems like some people had problems when they changed the axles, with it lining up w/ the sensor. Could this be the problem? Since I just recently bought the car, I also changed the pads/rotors all the way around, so the brakes are brand new.

I checked the reservoirs and there's plenty of fluid. Anyone have any good suggestions? Also, if I can't figure this problem, is there a simple way to disable the damn abs system? I saw there's a 50amp fuse under the hood for the abs motor, are there any other in the car that I could remove? Also, would the car run fine w/o the fuses? I'm open to any suggestions and thanks for the help.

-Mike

I had a similar problem after suspension work. Turned out it was the speed sensors for the front wheels. I don't know if the sensors went bad or they screwed up the wiring during the repairs, but it cost me $150 to replace the two front sensors. Two months after that, the pressure accumulator went out, and I've been without ABS for two years. An occasional wheel lock-up and lower re-sale value (and the possibility of rear-ending someone) are the only downsides. Honda wants over $900 for the accumulator. If I go junk yard parts, how long will it last?

Ok, so there are no serious downsides from just pulling the fuse? Do have to pull the main 50amp fuse, or can I just remove the 3 smaller ones? This isn't necessarily a permanent thing, but at the moment I need to get the car through inspection and get the emissions done before the tags expire, so I can't afford to take my time fixing it. I guess I'll just pull the fuse(s) at the moment and try to fix the problem in a month or so. Thanks for the help.

Edit: Man is it just me or do preludes have alot of problems w/ abs..?? I've pulled the axles countless times/messed w/ the suspension, pulled the motor a few times, etc. in my integra and I've never had the abs act up.. *knock on wood*

In Texas, you pass inspection with the ABS light on. What's the case in VA? Do you have to get it fixed for inspection? You don't have to pull the fuse unless you have inspection isssues. Maybe some black electrical tape on the dash right over where the ABS light comes on?
