Default ABS is acting up

I was driving on the highway today and when i stepped on my brakes the abs went off as if i was sliding in the snow. The roads were completely dry. And for the rest of the time driving every time i braked it was like that. I also hear a constant rapid clicking sound (sounds like a relay) near the passengers feet. The abs light went on once about 45 min after the problem initially happened and didnt come back on when i restarted my car. Where should I start and can i temporarily disable the abs?

i would be willing to bet the reluctor ring on your axle is cracked/broken. this can cause this condition

the "toothed" gear on your front axle closest to the wheel (it picks up the abs signal) i've seen this problem on other vehicles....sometimes it even starts to brake while accelerating. i mean i could be wrong, just that is what i have seen, from time to time with that problem. usually builds up rust under it and then cracks the ring, screwing up the oscillations the sensor sends to the abs ecu.

i just pulled the abs code. It was 4 quick blinks and then one long blink. I don't have a service manual to look it up. Can someone tell me what that code means?
