Did Some XSI cars come with S1 or Y1 trannys?
just ordered an xsi motor, i asked if it came equipped w/ the ys1, and he wasn't sure and he recalled it was either s1 or y1. hes positive it came out of an 92-93 integra xsi...i thought all xsi's came w/ ys1s??? i guess ill see and find out in a week.
they do come with the ys1 tranny... funny thing is, a friend is putting one in a customer car this week and your post just happened to be posted at the right time
yeah they are supposed to be ys1 tranny's. good stuff....i am in the process of ordering one myself. i never want to buy another tranny again. cable tranny's are expensive and very hard to find. well i live in the middle of ohio...if not for the wonderous power of the internet i would be driving a grand am....haha
all 92-93 xsi's should come with a ys1. 89-91 xsi's had s1's and mayb j1's? I'm not completely sure. Definitely not y1 though. Y1's were from 89-91 b16a equipped civic's and crx's.

I'm not sure which serial number will match, but I do know that the JDM 92 integra XSI transmission has the same gearing as an Integra type R and some of the come with an optional LSD. I think that kicks ***!!!! and its cable clutch to fucken boot. I need a tranny and I'm going to find an XSi trans for that particular gearing.
