Default Header/Rotor Install

Just got in a new set of F/R D/S rotors. Was wondering about how hard of an install this was. Also, anyone do a header install themselves for a DC Sports header. All the shops in my area want about 300 for the install if I have already purchased the header.

dude a header install is simple. if you have 14MM (maybe it was 17mm)and 10MM sockets you can do it too.

10 -10MM nuts on the header at the head. 3 nuts on the cataletic converter. it shouldnt take more then 2 hours for someone who has never done it before.

oh, you will need a 21mm wrench or o2 socket for the o2 sensor(s). and be nice to them. they dont like being beaten up.

about the brakes. brakes are easy as hell.

remove tires.
unbolt caliper.
tie caliper up to spring.
remove axle hub nut (autozone will RENT the socket for that for a whopping $15)
remove rotor.

replace.

simple as that. air tools do help, but are not a necessity.

I would suggest investing in a torch or sawzall as well. I jsut got new header and exhaust and I tryed heating them bolt up on the cat but no luck so I just had to cut them off and got new bolts from the hardware store. Just somthing to lookout for.

$300 for a head install?! Damn, I'd do it for a LOT less than that! I gotta start doin some more work for cash!

Yeah, have a good socket w/ a long breaker bar and a can of PB Blaster, and you SHOULD be able to get the bolts off.
