Default 94 LS B18 hop up?

I just got a 94 Integra LS B18 5spd i was wondering how i could really have a noticible and great increase the motor performance/hp for around 500-1000 bucks? I already have a header, straight pipe, AEM cold air intake, struts and springs. Thanks for the advice. Royce

well, what type of gains are you looking for? you wont pull 13's out of your *** with 1000 bucks and an LS motor, thats for sure.

please search man. I LOVE how people are taking an interest in building an LS up, but there have been so many posts about it recently to provide significant info

for $1000 you can do a lsvtec setup. for $600+ you can get yourself a good nitrous kit.

turbo

you can do it for 1200-1500, just save up a little more.
for a first timer on a budget such as you are, you've gotta go bare bones (of course, never sacrificing reliability). No turbo timers, no hondata, just good tuning on a vafc and close attention to detail throughout the process
probably won't be running 13s w/ it but you mite be

it all depends on what kind of power you want. can you do work yourself? if not, you're going to have some trouble keeping the price down. but as far as mods for a good noticable gain, you could do what i did. in my ls i have crower 403's (stage 2) cams, p30 (jdm b16) pistons, dc (shitty) 4-2-1 header and an apexi safcII. with all of that i made a baseline dyno run of 143hp and 119lbs/ft tq. we were able to tune another 4hp and 2lbs/ft of tourque out of it. now i paid a total of about $1200 for all of that (rebuild parts included, ie: head gasket, rings, rod bearings) and did the work with the help of a motor builder that i traded a couple parts to, so i saved huge on labor. on top of all that i have a jdm y1 lsd tranny which helps a lot, but if you want to not spend much, don't even think about an lsd. the power and whatnot may not seem like much, but you should have seen the looks on some of those gsr (with boltons) driver's faces when they saw the license plate NOVTEC as i pulled on em

I'd get some Crower 404s and valve springs. That should give you a noticeable increase. You could also get a GSR tranny. That would help some too.

yeah actually, only 1/8 mile though. yesterday was the second time this year i've had it out. best time was a 9.66@73mph, .550 rt, shitty 2.11 60ft. that's on slicks that have about one more night on em. i'm not sure how i managed a 9.6 with a shitty 60ft when i was pulling 1.9s all night and running 9.7s.
