Default Problem with the caR!

It wont go into second gear without grinding unless I'm under 30 mph. All the other gears are find, and when I put it into 2nd gear it feals fine except for the grind at over 30 mph. Do I need a new trans or is there a quick fix? Car is still under warranty, does anyone have any experience with it geting covered under warranty? This realy sucks, I was planing to go Auto-Xing tomorro. I hope I get it ready in time for the Expo. Thanks in advance.

I'm not a mechanic but sounds bad.

yeah, changing a syncro isnt a huge deal. just put some bondo on it and thats it.

then again, it could be possibly worse.

with all your mods on the car you better have a hook up at the dealer, they tend to be fussy when they think its been modded, raced, abused and tinkered with...

All I had was a FW and clutch and they don't want to touch my car...

GOOD LUCK!

Yup, it's your syncro. Mine grinds on quick 3-4 shifts above 7K so now I'm sure to slow the shift down a bit.

OT: Had a great roll-on race with a Turbo I(RX-7) 2nd to mid forth and nobody pulled, dead even. Gave each other thumbs up but there was no time to aks him what mods he had. First race I haven't lost, damn turbo cars.

When I purchased the R. I told the sales person that I would be moding the car, and asked him how that would affect the warranty. He walked me over to the service manager who told me, that I could mod the car all I wanted, as long as the mod didn't cause the failer of the repar in question, it would be covered. We'll see what happens from here. So far they replaced my dipstick tube, rack and pinion, and axles, but this was all done after mods, and before rollcage.
