Default which swap is a better gain in power?

I have 94 civic hb that i'm just about to buy a 95 gsr engine for but was looking around and have seen a couple h22's for a little cheaper has anyone had experience with both to know which is better for this vehicle, and also i assume the h22 will be a harder install?

The H22 is an excellent platform to work on, lots of horsepower and torqie can be had from this motor. It is a bit tougher to install due to the bigger size. But once it's installed, you won't turn back. Search H22 under the EG Forum and lots of information should come up.

a few things with a h22 in a civic is they never thought that someone would stick one in there and there is literally hardly any room in the engine compartment to work in. I'm pretty sure it's soo tight that you have to remove the engine to replace the timing belt, water pump, etc... and the h22 is gonna take a lot of modifications, more money and time to install. Now a b series is straight forward basically plug 'n play, also the b18c1 (gsr) motor is an excellent choice, it has vtec, more hp and torque than a b16a2. The b18c1 seems to be most everybody's favorite swap. If it was me I would either go with a b or k series. It really seems like the k is catching on.

Please try searching numerous key words under "recent" and "archived" topics in this forum and in the Hybrid Forum, or any other forum that applies to your topic at hand.
This forum is being ruined by too many of the same tired "B16A vs. B18C1?" topics and "Should I boost my SOHC or Get a Swap?" type topics. We understand that you want guidance, but rather than post an open topic, why not o some searching and find members here that have had successful builds/swaps and carry on an IM conversation with him or her?

We do care about what you want to do, but when we have literally 10 open topics about the exact same thing it gets highly annoying. This MB is here for ALL of us, not just one person who thinks we should all cater to him or her by posting in his or her topic while he or she NEVER performs searches and doesn't even browse the topics in the first few pages of the forum.</TD></TR></TABLE>
