alternator problem...

Default alternator problem...

its not bad or anything, but, the + terminal on the alt is like melting.! it melted my the terminals on the wires, i thought the nut wasnt tightened all the way, so i tried to tighten it some but it just snapped the stud....

why would it do this? also the terminal on the wire glows when the car is on. is it overcharging or something?

ugh!! is it wired backwords?

did you do any recent changes or swaps with your alt?

same thing happened to me... i was loosing power and bogging real bad.... i had a feeling it was my alt. and when i went to remopve the bolt for the + connection it just broke...it was corroded a tad bit and look like it had melted...i swapped my alt 2 weeks ago and havent had a problem since..
