Default Intermittent Alternator Connection

i have been having my battery light turn on and off the past few days and i think i have narrowed it down to a bad connection on the bolt of the alternator (thick white wire). has anyone ever had a problem with this? i have a feeling that it is an internal problem because the connection is tight and clean. however, i remember the whole bolt spinning slightly when i tightened it last and i'm fearing that i might have broken the connection inside. any thoughts/experience with this? i hate to remove the alternator because it is a PITA w/ my particular setup.

thanks

I'm guessing that you messed up the connection on the inside. Those only need to be snugged up when tightening, not face shaking right . I'd reccomend just putting a replacement alternator in. Good luck

that's what i was afraid of...i just checked my helms manual and found out that the bolt goes directly to the diode assembly and i'm sure excess twisting of that could cause all kinds of connection problems.

Yeah I have seen it happen before. Dont go to your local auto parts store to get an alternator...it will prolly be a piece of ****. Go to your honda dealership to get one. Good luck
