i was just wondering what car the B17A1 came from and what are the socks engine specs and is it better than the B16A1? thanks

the b17 has more aggressive cams than the b16 but has less compression

B17A is the first gen GSR engine from the 92-93 Integra GSR. It also has the best of all the cable trannies to. (YS1)
The cams are similar to the the 2nd gen B16, hp is 160, but more torque throughout the power band due to the larger stroked displacement.

Yes, its better then the B16. I have one, so I should know Very good engine. Its out of the US spec 92-93 GSR. Only 1,500 were ever made.

 

B17A1 So nice, I bought one twice. Yes '92-'93 GS-R's- North America only.
Don't know if they're better than B16's, I never had a B16.
