I have a b16a2 that I just rebuilt and I am having problems with it:

1. Smoke is coming out of my valve cover breather.

2. Engine is ideling at 2-3000 RPMs (with all the stock adjustments I can get it to sit at 2000, but thats the lowest).

3. CEL code is throwing 1, which is the O2 sensor, that might be part of the problem but I really dont think that that would cause the problem that I am having.


The eninge was rebuilt with SRP Rods and JE 9:1 pistons and thats all of the internals that were done.

I intsalled a OEM Honda N1 Enduro Crankshaft pully (1.8 Lbs single belt for alt. only):





Everything eles is still stock except for KMS cam seal and block guard.

running an AG-Engenering Chipped P28 Ecu.

I have tried to adjust the dist. but that did not help much.

I am getting spark to all cylinders.

It turns over a couple times before it starts.


Any ideas????? I really need to figure this out. The engine ran fine befor I pulled it apart and now its not working right.....help

Excessive blowby

 

vac leaks maybe. Is the cool level good to go. Could be air in the iavc valve. Try another computer also.

 

check to make sure your TPS and MAP sensors arent switched. ive seen this happen on several swaps, and they exhibit the symptoms youre describing.

 

smoke out of the breather?

get a leakdown test done, me thinks you have a valvetrain related problem.
