Default ran my civic last night

my car is a 94 Ex coupe. the car weighed 2240 lbs. i took the seats out and very little gas in it. only mods to the car is a 5$ intake that i made, no cat, and a little bit of suspension stuff (gc springs and kyb agx shocks). so the car is damn near stock, just has a few free mods.

due to my all season tires, and my slipping clutch, i was only able to grab some low 16's. here's my best run:

best 60' - 2.350
best 1/4 - 16.106
best mph - 87.18

i think my car is capable of 15's, i have beaten quite a few 15 sec. cars on the street, but damn, so close and no cigar. at least i know my mph is 15 sec. d series material.

lemme know what you guys think. yeah, i know its slow, but its just my daily whip that i use do drive to school & work. when i finish school, i'll definitely give this thing some more nuts and make it a track monkey or something.

You do have a 15 second car if you could launch it right. 2.350 60' should be right around 2.2 or lower on street tires. Not trying to be a jerk about that either. Just saying that your car is fast enough, you just need to work out your launch. More track time will have you there in no time.

yeah, launching that thing was pretty hard. take it up too high and it will spin too much, too low and it will bog too much. i really couldnt find a happy medium in there. oh well, i had fun, i got to run like 20 times cuz there was NO ONE there. my friend with a gsr in his crx went out there with me, it was great. we were basically circle track racing, since there was no line, we'd just run, get our slips, race back to the staging lanes, and do it again

how do you say your coupe only weighs 2240 lbs? with just the rear seats taken out? they come stock 2443? i weighed my whole interior besides dash carpet and front seats + i weighed my AC system with it as well.. it came out to 80 lbs for all of that.. so i dunno where u shaved 200 lbs.

my car had full interior, aside from the seats taken out. i also forgot to mention that i took the spare tire/jack/tools out. it has every option: a/c, power steering, sunroof, etc. stock it weighed like 2380 or something like that (with my subwoofer system in it - i also took that out to run it.)

i thought 2240 sounded a little light too, but the scale was accurate. with just me standing on it, the weight was correct, and my friend weighed his crx, and it was dead on as well. i guess i just have a light Ex coupe or something.

and i will never remove the a/c, or power steering, unless this car becomes a track monkey. i'd rather run a 16.0 with all that ****, than a 15.9 with no creature comforts.

and i ran it at Thunder Valley Raceway in Noble, OK.

no. i do not understand what your sentence means. maybe i can clear this up:

with me in it, it weighed about 2430.

with me out of it, it weighed 2240.

my brother runs 15.1 with I/H/E/shortshifter - no back seats, no spear

he revs to 5 thousand RPM and takes off with that, he shifts @ 7300 really fast.

I think its a great time for a 1.6 single VTEC
