my buddy has a d16z6 and got a y8 intake manifold and wants to put it on. other than a y8 fuel rail and use the injector insulators (off the y8). what else do u need to do? and also is this even worth doing?? if he uses the y8 man. and a 60mm throttle body off a b18b would the horse power gains be anything at all. thanks for any advise

what year is the the y8 intake matifold? You better hope it's not auto.

 

correct me if I'm wrong... but I thought the LS TB is 58mm, but anyways I have one on my portmatched Z6 IM and with that and a short ram, gutted cat and n1 catback I put 119.8 to the wheels

 

90-93 LS TB is 58mm and 94+ is 60mm

 

no the intake manifold is from a manual. what do i have to do with the extra lines that doing hook up to the z6..i seen a pic before of someone doing this but i f*cking lost it and im confused..thanks for any help
