Default Transmission or Clutch problen?

Here is what happend. I was at the drag strip and I launched, I heard something break and grind. I kept going. I was able to shift through all the gears find. when I came to an idle i could hear noises come from the tranny. Then on the way home I couldnt get it in gear sometimes. First gear, I dont think I ever got it in gear. then I was able to get it in four gear. But on the way home I got locked out of all the gears, but managed to get it back into second... then I creaped home.

I was hoping it was a tranny problem, but after doing some searching I believe it to be a presure plate.

Anyone experience something similar?

It could be the springs in the clutch. About the same thing happened to my buddies 95 Civic EX. He was having the same trouble getting it in gear and making alot of clanking noise when he would let out on the clutch. When i pulled the tranny the 2 out of 4 springs had fallen out. More thatn likely that is the same thing wrong eith yours. And you can get a clutch kit I think for less than $200 .
